2025 Small Business Support Scheme

Louth County Council is offering a Small Business Support Scheme for 2025, available to all businesses with a commercial rates demand of €5,000 or less.

Applications should be returned by 31st July 2025 to: Small Business Support Scheme, Accounts Receivable, Louth County Council, County Hall, Dundalk, Co Louth.

Qualifying Criteria:

  • Your annual commercial rates bill must be €5,000 or less.
  • All commercial rates due - including arrears and Property Entry Levy - must be paid in full by 31st July 2025 (if not paying by direct debit).
  • If paying by direct debit, accounts must be fully paid by 30th November 2025.
  • Only occupied properties are eligible.
  • Once all criteria are met and compliance is confirmed, a credit will be applied to your commercial rates account at the end of the year.

Applications for qualifying properties must have all commercial rates, including arrears and the Property Entry Levy, paid in full on their account by July 31st, 2025. This date applies to all payment methods other than direct debits. Accounts paying direct debit must be paid in full by the close of business on 30th November 2025.
