Cross Border Youth Council Networking Project

Delivered by Dundalk Youth Centre - DYC

The Cross Border Youth Council Networking Project launched in June 2020, aiming to bring young people together from both sides of the border to open dialogue around common issues and to develop initiatives to raise awareness, influence policy and bring young people's perspectives to decision making.

An opening event was held in June 2020 with representatives of youth councils from Louth, Monaghan, Cavan, Newry and Mourne, Armagh and Banbridge in attendance. The project aimed to bring these youth councils together for a series of activities.

Activities included a series of interactive dialogue events on topics such as conflict, education, sport, advocacy, community safety, and covid. The project also delivered cross border days and study visits in between the lockdowns in 2021.
