Louth County Archives Service is located in a mid-19th century gaol building located on the Ardee Road, Dundalk. It is a repository for the public and private archives of County Louth. If you have a collection that you would like to donate to the County Archives we would be delighted to hear from you. Follow us on Facebook.
By appointment, preferably one week in advance (or more if travelling long-distance) Mon – Fri: 9am – 12pm, 2pm – 4pm
Readers are required to complete an application form on their first visit, after reading the Rules for Readers. Copying fees apply.

The entrance is on the Ardee Road at the rear of the Dundalk Garda Station. (Please note there is no access via the adjacent Machinery Yard). View the map showing our location.
