Over the Shop Grant

This is a Grant of up to €140,000 available to individuals or sole traders who wish to make one or more residential units where commercial use continues on the ground floor.

Where 1 residential unit is being created above a commercial unit, a grant of up to €95,000 will be available. Where 2 units are created an additional top-up of €20,000 will be available and where 3 or more units are created, a top-up of €40,000 on the Grant of €95,000 will be available.

In tandem with the Vacant Above the Shop Grant, a new Expert Advice Grant of up to €5,000 is available to owners of such buildings (individuals and sole traders) who may be considering conversations / refurbishments. This will bring the total package available for such properties to €140,000.
