Bealtaine Intergenerational Storytelling: We are celebrating the arrival of Bealtaine with a lovely intergenerational storytelling session in Dundalk Library on Saturday 9th May at 11:00am. We will have some sunny stories and mindful colouring for everyone to enjoy. All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult for the duration of the event. All are welcome to attend, there is no booking required. 

Dundalk Library Memory Café: Join us for our next monthly meeting of the Dundalk Library Memory Café on Tuesday 12th May at 2:30pm. Chris Stewart from Vision Ireland and Orla Finnegan, Community Resource Worker and Occupational Therapist, will each give a short talk, followed by music, tea and chat. This is a free event and provides a welcoming space for people living with dementia, just come along for a lovely social afternoon, providing support and advice. All are welcome to attend, there is no booking required.

Painting on Silk Satin Art Class for Adults with Catherine McCourt: Immerse yourself in the delicate beauty of Maytime florals in this hands-on creative art class with Catherine McCourt. Using luxurious silk satin, attendees will design and craft their own unique Irish May flower artwork, guided step by step in a relaxed and inspiring setting. Your finished piece will be carefully mounted onto card—perfect for display or transformed into a one-of-a-kind greeting card. All materials will be provided and there is no experience necessary. Bee Habitat Demo: Join us in Dundalk Library for a very special Bee Habitat Demo as part of National Biodiversity Week (15-24 May). Taking place on Saturday 16th May at 11:00am and suitable for children aged 9+ years. Places are limited and booking is essential. Pollinator Investigation Lab with Anyone 4 Science: Join us in Dundalk Library for a very special Pollinator Investigation Lab with Anyone 4 Science as part of National Biodiversity Week (15-24 May). Taking place on Saturday 16th May at 12:15pm and suitable for children aged 9+ years. Places are limited and booking is essential. Native Plant Dye Painting for adults: In celebration of Biodiversity and Bealtaine, join us in Dundalk Library on Saturday 23rd May at 10:30am-11:30am. This event is designed for adults. Please email libraryhelpdesk@louthcoco.ie to reserve your place. 

Boosting Bone Health Talk with Amo Physio Anne Orr: Join us in Dundalk Library on Wednesday 27th May at 3:00pm for a Boosting Bone Health talk with physiotherapist Anne Orr. The talk will focus and include topics such as understanding osteoporosis, identifying risk factors and proactive strategies for prevention. Please contact Dundalk Library on 042-9353190 to reserve your place. Adult Book Clubs: Rediscover the joy of reading and discuss your views with others. Please ask at desk for details if you wish to be put on a Reserve List.

Baby Book Club: Explore the benefits of reading to your baby from an early age. Takes place on the first Wednesday of every month at 10:30am.

eServices Demonstration: Learn how to use our full suite of eServices with help from staff on the last Friday of every month from 11:00am-12:00pm. These eServices can be found HERE

Family Carers Support Group: All family carers and former carers are welcome to join our monthly support group meeting! Taking place in Dundalk Library on the last Wednesday of every month at 10:30am-12:00pm. Our monthly support group is aimed at giving you a break from your caring routine and a chance to meet others who understand, offering open discussion, support and an opportunity to make friends. No booking required. All are welcome to attend.

Georgie Porgie Tots Corner, Parent & Toddler Group: Every Thursday at 10:00am.

Irish Language Group: Intermediate level - Every Tuesday at 4:00pm.

Memory Café: Join us on the second Tuesday of every month at 2:30pm-3:30pm for a social afternoon of tea, chat and information! The Café is a warm and welcoming place for people to come and meet others also living with Dementia / Alzheimer’s. Mindful Colouring Group for Adults: Join us for a relaxed and relaxing colouring group in Dundalk Library every Wednesday at 3:00pm. Colouring is a simple activity that has a myriad of benefits – relaxation, clarity, focus etc. No booking required.

WiFi Access is available to current Library members. Renew your Library membership today and avail of free WiFi in Dundalk, Drogheda and Ardee Libraries as well as several hot spots in Dundalk Town Centre. Ask at issue desk for registration details and PIN no.
