Pokémon Card Swap: Join us in Dundalk Library for a super Pokémon Card Swap on Thursday 6th August at 3:00pm. Bring your cards, trade with other collectors and maybe even find that one card you’ve been hunting for. All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult for the duration of the event. All are welcome to attend, there is no booking required.

Summer Stars Bilingual Storytime: Join us for a fun Storytime in Dundalk Library on Friday 7th August at 11:00am. Suitable for children aged 3-8 years and all must be accompanied and supervised by an adult for the duration of the event. All are welcome to attend, there is no booking required.

Go Fly Your Kite: Celebrate Summer Stars by designing your very own kite with Go Fly Your Kite in Dundalk Library on Friday 7th August at 2:30pm. Suitable for children aged 5-12 years and all must be accompanied and supervised by an adult for the duration of the event. Places are limited and booking is essential. National Heritage Week-"Sweathouse: The New and Ancient Irish Sauna Tradition": Join Rosanna Cooney, journalist and author for a National Heritage Week talk about the fascinating history behind Irish Saunas. National Heritage Week-"Saving Our Seeds: Saving Our Heritage": Join Roisin Cotter for this informative session that will give you the skills to save seeds from your garden, store them safely and use them to create new plants each year, giving you food security and control over where your seed comes from. Taking place in Dundalk Library on Tuesday 18th August at 11:00am-1:00pm. This is a free event suitable for adults. Places are limited and booking is essential. National Heritage Week - Genealogy Clinics: Book onto one of our Genealogy Clinic (one hour slots) for guidance on researching your family history as part of National Heritage Week. Learn from our Local History Library team what resources are available to you and how best to use them. "50 Years: Ireland & The EU": Join broadcaster and author David McCullagh for "50 Years: Ireland & The EU". A timely talk on Ireland’s relations with the EU, the UK - and how 50 years of EU membership has changed us. Taking place in Dundalk Library on Saturday 29th August at 3:00pm. Adult Book Clubs: Rediscover the joy of reading and discuss your views with others. Please ask at desk for details if you wish to be put on a Reserve List.

Baby Book Club: Explore the benefits of reading to your baby from an early age. Takes place on the first Wednesday of every month at 10:30am. (There will be no Baby Book Club in August, but it will return in September).

eServices Demonstration: Learn how to use our full suite of eServices with help from staff on the last Friday of every month from 11:00am-12:00pm. These eServices can be found HERE

Family Carers Support Group: All family carers and former carers are welcome to join our monthly support group meeting! Taking place in Dundalk Library on the last Wednesday of every month at 10:30am-12:00pm. Our monthly support group is aimed at giving you a break from your caring routine and a chance to meet others who understand, offering open discussion, support and an opportunity to make friends. No booking required. All are welcome to attend.

Georgie Porgie Tots Corner, Parent & Toddler Group: Every Thursday at 10:00am.

Irish Language Group: Intermediate level - Every Tuesday at 4:00pm.

Memory Café: Join us on the second Tuesday of every month at 2:30pm-3:30pm for a social afternoon of tea, chat and information! The Café is a warm and welcoming place for people to come and meet others also living with Dementia / Alzheimer’s. Mindful Colouring Group for Adults: Join us for a relaxed and relaxing colouring group in Dundalk Library every Wednesday at 3:00pm. Colouring is a simple activity that has a myriad of benefits – relaxation, clarity, focus etc. No booking required.

WiFi Access is available to current Library members. Renew your Library membership today and avail of free WiFi in Dundalk, Drogheda and Ardee Libraries as well as several hot spots in Dundalk Town Centre. Ask at issue desk for registration details and PIN no.
