Young People's Outdoor Pursuits Sports Leadership Programme

The Young People's Outdoor Pursuits Sports Leadership Programme aims to deliver a programme which will engage with 80 participants in 8 cohort groups of 10 young people with 20 hours of meaningful and purposeful contact over a 2-year period with a view to increasing confidence, building resilience, self-esteem and leadership among participants.

The launch event for the Young People's Outdoor Pursuits Sports Leadership Programme was held in December 2025. The event marked the beginning of this project and highlighted the positive impact that it, and the PEACEPLUS programme as a whole will have on the participants as well as local communities.

In November 2025 a contract was signed with Dundalk Youth Centre to deliver the “PEACEPLUS Young People's Outdoor Pursuits Sports Leadership Programme”.
