Irish Homeless Street Leagues 2025

 

The Irish Homeless Street Leagues delivered two impactful programmes in County Louth during 2025.

Dundalk Programme:

  • 40-week football and wellbeing initiative
  • Included a 6-week Healthy Food Made Easy course in partnership with the HSE
  • Featured health information stands and guest speaker Oisín McConville
  • Participants from Dundalk Simon, Redeemer Resource Centre & Turas

Drogheda Programme:

  • 10-week football and wellbeing initiative
  • Included a 6-week Healthy Food Made Easy course in partnership with the HSE
  • Guest speaker: Rory’s Stories
  • Participants from Drogheda Homeless Aid & The Red Door Project
  • Drogheda Utd nominated for an AONTAS award

Irish Homeless Street League

These programmes provided opportunities for physical activity, social connection and health education, supporting participants on their journey toward positive change. Participants also received reading and writing materials to enhance their numerical, reading and problem-solving skills.
