Irish Homeless Street League Expands to County Louth

Louth County Council is proud to support the launch of the Louth Irish Homeless Street League, an initiative that uses the power of sport to promote inclusion, wellbeing, and positive change for individuals affected by homelessness.

The programme officially kicked off on Tuesday, 25th March at Clancy Park, home of Quay Celtic in Dundalk. Delivered in collaboration with the Irish Homeless Street League, Dundalk Simon, the HSE Health Promotion team, and with funding from the Dundalk Municipal District Councillors, the project will be led by Paula Keenan, Healthy Louth Coordinator, under the Healthy Ireland Programme.

With weekly training sessions, this initiative provides participants with an opportunity to build confidence, community connections, and a sense of achievement through football.
