Earl Street Bollards Back in Full Operation

Earl-Street-Bollards

Louth County Council has completed a full repair and upgrade of the automatic bollards on Earl Street, Dundalk.

The system is now fully operational again following a permanent fix.

The works carried out included:

  • Repairing damage to the hydraulic unit in the faulty bollard
  • Installing a new FAAC control panel and a new FAAC City JE275 bollard
  • Rewiring both bollards and reinstating all safety devices and traffic lights
  • Replacing a faulty light on one bollard and faulty buzzers on both
  • Testing ground loops, traffic lights and reinstating transmitters
  • Reprogramming and issuing new access fobs to local businesses

The Council would like to remind the public that Earl Street remains a no‑parking zone, with access restricted to permitted deliveries only.

Louth County Council would also like to thank local businesses and the community for their cooperation during these improvement works.
