Temporary Road Closures: County Louth

Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to temporarily close the roads listed below for short durations (not exceeding five days per location) between:

  • 12th August 2025 and 11th August 2026

These closures are necessary to facilitate road strengthening, resurfacing, and road safety improvement works. Diversion routes will be signposted at each location.

In the interest of road safety, a temporary speed limit of 50 km/h will also apply to the entire length of the affected roads, in accordance with Section 10(1) of the Road Traffic Act 2004.

Local access and emergency access will be maintained at all times.

Objections

Any person who wishes to object to any of the proposed closures should submit their objection in writing (clearly marked “Road Closure Objection”) to the undersigned, or via Louth County Council’s Online Consultation Portal. Deadline for objections: 5pm, Tuesday 29th July 2025.
