Temporary Closing of Roads King Williams Glen & N51 Drogheda to Slane

LOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL

 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS – ROADS ACT 1993

Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to close the under mentioned roads to public traffic on the stated dates,to facilitate road works.

Local Road, L-23210, King Williams Glen, (Tuesday 1st September 2020)

Alternative Southbound route – Travel east along Local Road L-231817 to its junction with Regional Road R168, continue southeast along R168 to its junction with Mell Interchange, travel west along National Secondary Road N51 to its junction with Local Road L-23210.

Alternative Northbound route - Above route in reverse. 

National Secondary Road, N51, Drogheda to Slane Road (Wednesday and Thursday 2nd & 3rd September 2020)

Alternative Eastbound route from Slane to Drogheda Northwards along National Secondary Road N2 from Slane to Collon, then take Regional Road R168 from Collon to M1 Mell Interchange in Drogheda.

Alternative Westbound route from Drogheda to Slane – Above route in reverse.

Local Road, L-16014, Co. Meath, (Wednesday and Thursday 2nd & 3rd September 2020)

Alternative Southeast bound route – Travel east from Mell Interchange along Regional Road R168, continue through Hill Of Rath Roundabout onto Regional Road R166. Take second exit off Rosehall Roundabout and continue south along R132 through Drogheda Town, across The Bridge of Peace. Travel west along Rathmullan Road (L-100244), into County Meath, continue along the road parallel to River Boyne and under the M1 Motorway to Local Road L-16014.

Alternative Northwest bound route - Above route in reverse.

Local Road, L-23210, King Williams Glen, (Wednesday and Thursday 2nd & 3rd September 2020)

Alternative Southbound route – Travel east along Local Road L-231817 to its junction with Regional Road R168, continue southeast along R168 to its junction with Mell Interchange.

Alternative Northbound route - Above route in reverse. 

Local Access will be provided.

Any person who wishes to object to the closure of these roads should lodge an objection in writing to the undersigned not later than 12.00 noon on Tuesday 4th August 2020.
