Notice of Intention to Close St Dominic's Bridge, Drogheda

LOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

SECTION 75 ROADS ACT, 1993

Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to close the under mentioned bridge to public traffic on Tuesday 3rd August 2021 to Friday 10th December 2021, to complete remediation works to Saint Dominic’s bridge.

St. Dominic’s Bridge, Drogheda

Alternative southbound approach from Stockwell Lane/ Wellington Quay (North Side) - divert eastbound via Dyer Street turning south across the bridge that links Haymarket to the Donore Road/ Georges Street Junction on the R132, then west  along R132 Georges Street along the Boyne River until reach the south side of St Dominic’s Bridge and end of detour.

Alternative northbound approach from Rathmullen Road/ Ballsgrove (South side)- divert eastbound via R132 Georges Street along the Boyne River. Turning north across the bridge that links Donore Road/ Georges Street Junction on the R132 with Haymarket, the west along Dyer Street until reaching junction with Wellington Quay/ Stockwell Lane and end of detour.

Any person who wishes to object to the closures of this road should lodge an objection in writing with the undersigned not later than 12 noon on Friday, 9th July 2021.
