General Notice: Drogheda Road Closures

Under Section 75 Roads Act, 1993 (Roads Regulations 1994), Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to close the following road.

Patrick Street (L-1000-63) Drogheda - 9.30am-3pm on Wednesday, 14th May, 2025.
Patrick Street (L-1000-63) from its junction with Bolton Street (L-10005) to its junction with Hardmans Gardens (L-1665-87) will be closed to vehicular traffic to facilitate road resurfacing works on Patrick Street (L-1000-63). Local access and emergency access will be maintained.

Diversion Route East: Eastbound traffic approaching Patrick Street will be diverted north along George Street/North Road (R-132-1), Windmill Road (L-1004-55), east along Bothar Brugha (L-16651), north along Hardman Gardens (L-1665-87) to its junction with Scarlet Street (L-1664-81).

Diversion Route West: Westbound traffic approaching Patrick Street (L-1000-63) will be diverted north along Hardman Gardens (L-1665-87), west along Bothar Brugha (L-16651), south along Windmill Road (L-1004-55) and south along North Road/George Street (R-132-1).

Any person who wishes to object to this closure should lodge an objection in writing (envelope clearly marked ‘Road Closure Objection’) to the undersigned or via Louth County Council’s Online Consultation Portal no later than 5pm on Tuesday, 29th April, 2025.

Hardmans Gardens (L-1665-87) Drogheda - 9.30am-3pm on Thursday, 15th May, 2025.
Hardmans Gardens (L-1665-87) northbound only from its junction with Patrick Street (L-1000-63) to its junction with Lourdes Square (L-16653-72), a length of 75m.

The road will be closed to vehicular traffic to facilitate road resurfacing works on Hardmans Gardens (L-1665-87) northbound only. Local access and emergency access will be maintained.

Diversion Route north: Northbound traffic approaching Hardmans Gardens (L-1665-87) will be diverted west along Patrick Street (L-1000-63), north along George Street/North Road (R-132-1), Windmill Road (L-1004-55) and east along Bothar Brugha (L-16651).
