Temporary Closure of Roads: LP-3084 and LP-3052

Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its decision to close the following roads to vehicular traffic to facilitate the installation of vehicle restraint systems (VRS) at the following locations.

The road closures will be in place from 8am on Monday 3rd March for at least two weeks. Local and emergency access will be maintained at all times.

Location 1: LP-3084 at Aghameen, Upper Jenkinstown, Co Louth

Alternative Northbound approach from Jenkinstown Cross with a diversion will be in place at the LS-7083 junction off the LP-3084 diverting traffic south through Killin and Piedmont. Traffic will then be diverted northbound onto the LP-3081 through Benagh and Ballygoley and eventually back to the Spellickanee junction at the old Aghameen School, Upper Jenkinstown where the road closure will be in place.

Location 2: LP-3052 at Corrakit, Tullagh, Co Louth

Alternative Northbound approach from The Long Woman’s Grave - Diversion will be in place just after the Long Woman’s Grave diverting traffic to the right toward Corrakit and Tulla on the LP-3056-20. Traffic will then be diverted left onto the L–3056 at Morgans Fine Fish taking them westbound back onto the LP-3052
