Launch of the PEACEPLUS Multicultural Programme and Social Entrepreneurship Programme

The launch event for two new PEACEPLUS programmes being delivered by Culture Connect CLG; the PEACEPLUS Multicultural / Intercultural Programme and the PEACEPLUS Entrepreneurship / Social Entrepreneurship for the Traveller Community and Ethnic Minority Communities was held on the 12th of August 2026. This event celebrated the launch of these two projects which both aim to bring communities together through sharing cultural experiences, dialogue, education and community participation.

The Multi-Cultural / Inter-Cultural Programme will deliver a Programme to 150 people over an 18-month period with a view to increase engagement in Multi-Cultural events with those from different cultural traditions and to increase awareness and understanding of and trust and respect for the different cultures and traditions through two projects.

The Social Entrepreneurship Programme for the Traveller Community, Ethnic Minority Communities aims to deliver a social entrepreneurship programme across County Louth inclusive of leadership and entrepreneurship skills to 106 people over 2 years that promotes attitudinal change towards those from minority communities engaging and developing social enterprises and increases the likelihood of those from minority communities and target groups establishing social enterprises that address local needs.
