Hosting an Event

Submissions of Events are invited from experienced and reputable operators to deliver within 2026 throughout County Louth.
All events should aim to bring the community together in a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment, celebrating family-friendly entertainment while promoting:
- Local engagement
- Community wellbeing
- Inclusive, accessible activities for all ages
The events should be welcoming, vibrant, and culturally sensitive.
Interested co-ordinators should demonstrate:
- Full compliance with Louth County Council Event Management Plan
- Full compliance with Louth County Council Funfair Policy 2026
- Full compliance with health & safety legislation and best practice
- Appropriate insurance coverage as per Louth County Council Event Management Plan and Funfair Policy 2026
- Submission of Safety Certification in compliance with regulations if required
- Commitment to inclusive and accessible event provision
- Strong crowd management and site stewardship practices
- Willingness to work collaboratively with Louth County Council and local stakeholders
All events must align with the community-focused ethos of the event.
Please note funfair/amusement events can only operate on hard surface locations.
Expressions of Interest application form, assessment criteria and requirements are available on www.louthcoco.ie/en/services/event-management/ and should include:
- Company profile and relevant experience
- Overview of proposed attractions and operations
- Evidence of insurance and safety compliance
- References from previous events (where available)
This Expression of Interest does not constitute a formal tender but will be used to inform the selection process for a suitable operator.
If you are proposing to host an event that will attract members of the public up to a gathering of 5,000 persons, you should consult the attached guide hereunder:

This guide was adopted by Louth County Council and is supported by An Garda Siochana and the Health Service Executive (HSE).
Various application forms are also provided in the links below. Please complete the relevant form(s) in full for your application to be considered and also provide the documents mentioned in the form(s) to enable Louth County Council to make swift decisions:
