Joint Policing Committees
The Louth Local Authorities have established a Joint Policing Committee structure that reflects general administrative structures in County Louth. Its functions are provided for in An Garda Siochana Act, 2005. The committees are as follows:-
Louth Joint Policing Commmitte
A steering group made up of the County Manager, Chief Superintendent Louth, Chairperson Louth County Council, Chairperson Drogheda Joint Policing Committee, Chairperson Dundalk Joint Policing Committee and Chairperson Ardee Joint Policing Committee.
Dundalk Joint Policing Committee
The Dundalk Joint Policing Committee represents both the interests of Dundalk Town Council and Dundalk South/Carlingford Local Electoral Area along with Dundalk Garda District. Its membership is as follows:-
