How do I Check if I am Registered to Vote?

This Register is available in all Louth County Council offices, Dundalk, Drogheda, Ardee, in post offices, Garda stations and public libraries. You can also check if you are registered online at www.checktheregister.ie.

If you are already registered to vote and want to update your details you must print and complete an RFA form and return it to us at the address below.

You can also apply on-line to be included, or to amend your details, in the Draft Register of Electors 2021-2022 HERE.  Note, you will need your Eircode to register.

I am not registered to vote.

Then register for inclusion in the Draft Register of Electors published on the 1st November each year. Any individual entered in the Draft Register will automatically be entered in the Register of Electors published the following February.

Conditions required:

  1. Be at least 18 years of age on the day the Register comes into force
  2. You must be ordinarily resident in the State since the 1st September in the year preceding the coming force of the Register
