SITE NOTICE

 

Drogheda Civic Offices, Fair Street, Drogheda, Co. Louth

Louth County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to carry out amendments to development at Drogheda Civic Offices on Fair Street, Drogheda, Co.  Louth permitted under a Previous Part 8 Application ( Ref No. 18/727).

Protected Structures across the wider site are listed as follows:

  • 52-53 Fair Street (Single Storey Protected Structure-ref DB-069a; NIAH ref.no.13618043).
  • 54 Fair Street (Two Storey Protected Structure ref - DB-069b & NIAH ref. no. 13618044).
  • 55-56 Fair Street (Two Storey Protected Structure ref no. DB-082. NIAH ref. 13618045)
  • The Former Sisters of Charity House. Part of Protected Structure Ref DB -086 (NIAH Ref 13618046). The amendments to the permitted development comprise:
  • The inclusion of an ESB Substation & LV Switchroom at ground floor level within the permitted service yard area;
  • All associated site development works.

The proposed works are located within the curtilage of Protected Structures and are within Architectural Conservation Area No 4 - Fair Street and adjacent to Architectural Conservation Area  No 1 - Bolton Square as designated in the Drogheda Borough Council Development Plan 2011-2017 (extended), and within a zone of archaeological potential.

Louth County Council has undertaken Appropriate Assessment Screening, the details of which are available to the general public.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development may be inspected or purchased, at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, from 22 September 2020 until Friday 23 October 2020 (inclusive) at the offices of Louth County Council, Drogheda Civic Offices, Fair Street, Drogheda, Co. Louth during public opening hours (10am – 3pm).

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, clearly marked “Part 8 - Drogheda Civic Offices Revisions” may be made in writing to the undersigned at Louth County Council, Town Hall, Crowe Street, Dundalk, before 3pm on 6thNovember 2020.
