Success for Omeath at Pride of Place 2020

 

OMEATH SUCCESS IN PRIDE OF PLACE

There were celebrations in Omeath at the weekend as the seaside village was named as runner-up in the coastal communities category in the 2020 Pride of Place competition

Omeath was nominated by Louth County Council to represent the Wee county in the 2020 Co-Operation Ireland Pride of Place awards ceremony which was streamed live last Saturday and hosted by RTE's Marty Morrissey

As part of their entry Omeath submitted a video by photographer Ken Finnegan which showcased all it has to offer and highlighted the positive contribution being made by all groups and volunteers in the community.

Cllr Dolores Minogue, Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council congratulated Omeath on their award and their efforts which has made the coastal village an attractive visitor destination. 

Joan Martin, Chief Executive, Louth County Council also congratulated the Omeath Community on their acheivement.
