Green Christmas Poetry Competition 2020

While this is a wonderfully exciting time for all, it also signals the changes in our buying and shopping habits that ultimately results in increased waste.

From wrapping paper to Christmas Cards, cardboard, packaging, glass bottles, plastic and cans, not to mention all the leftover food waste, the waste mountain is at its biggest at this time of the year.  The competition which is open to all the primary schools in the county aims to promote a festive season where we try to reduce waste and recycle more! Overall winners are Nikola Wieczorek and Kate Rafferty Redeemer GNS pictured above with their winning poem "A Winning Tale".
