Clár Funding Scheme 2020

Clár provides funding for small scales infrastructural projects in rural areas that have suffered significant levels of population decline.  The supports provided through Clár have been tailored this year to help rural communities to respond to the new COIVD-19 environment.  This includes the addition of new funding measures.  The following District Electoral Divisions (DED’s) are eligible for consideration for funding support: Ballymascanlon, Carlingford, Drummullagh, Greenore, Jenkinstown, Rathcor and Ravensdale.

 

Measure 1: Schools/Community Safety Measures

Measure 2: Community Recreation Areas (New in 2020)

Measure 3: Community Wellbeing Supports, comprising:

  • Meals on Wheels and linked services (new in 2020)
  • Mobility and Cancer Care Transport

The Council wish to receive completed application forms from Community Groups and local schools.

Closing date for receipt of EOI’s is 4pm Friday 17th July 2020.  Applications will not be considered after this date.

Measure 3(a): Meals on Wheels and Linked Services

Applications under Measure 3(a) of the Clár Funding Scheme 2020 will be accepted directly by the Department from established organisations/groups that operate partly or entirely on a voluntary basis, and are involved in the provision of meals on wheels with linked services that require support in order to deliver this service.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications under Measure 3 is the 28th of August 2020.  Application will not be considered after this date.

Measure 3(b): Mobility and Cancer Care Transport

Applications under Measure 3(b) of the Clár Funding Scheme 2020 will be accepted directly by the Department from established organisations/groups that operate entirely on a voluntary basis, and provide:

  • Transport to/from day care/other medical/therapy/respite services for those with significant mobility issues including requiring specialised wheelchair accessible vehicles or
  • Transport to/from designated cancer treatment hospitals/centres under the National Cancer Care Programme.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications under Measure 3(b) is the 28th of August 2020.  Application will not be considered after this date.
