Coastal flood warning for Louth Tuesday 14th January 2020

There is a high risk of coastal flooding in Louth as a result of a higher than normal spring tide.

The high tide is at 13.15 and the period of greatest risk is from 12.15 o 14.15 .

Residents and motorists in the following areas are advised to be particularly aware of the threat posed and not to park cars in areas prone to flooding.

The following areas may also have traffic disruption;

Drogheda

  • Ship st
  • North Quay
  • Wellington Quay
  • Marsh Road

Dundalk

  • Inner relief road / Quay st
  • Newry road
  • Racecourse road

Blackrock

  • Blackrock road ( Connollys Corner )
  • Blackrock Main st

Annagassan and Baltray

 

Sand bags

Sand bags have been distributed to the following location, and are available to be collected

Blackrock

Carlingford,

  • Fire Station
  • Outside Savages Butchers

Dundalk

  • Machinery Yard, Ardee road, Dundalk
  • Town hall , Crowe Street, Dundalk

Drogheda
