Planning Consultation in the form of “Planning Clinics”

The Draft Louth County Development Plan 2015-2021 is currently on public display from Monday 6th October 2014 – Wednesday 17th December 2014. Members of the public are invited to call in to the Town Hall, Crowe Street, Dundalk to discuss the Draft Plan with a planner during normal opening hours throughout the course of the public display period .

In addition to the above public consultation in the form of “Planning Clinics” will also take place throughout the County at the following times and locations:

Wednesday 5th November           10.00 – 1.00pm                 Dunleer Library, Station Road, Dunleer

Thursday 6th November               10.00 – 1.00pm                  Louth County Council, Boyne Centre, Patrick  Street,  Drogheda

Friday 7th November                    10am – 1.00pm                 Mid Louth Civic Service Centre, Fairgreen, Ardee

Tuesday  11th November              10.00 – 1.00pm                  Carlingford Heritage Centre, Carlingford

Wednesday 12th November        10.00am -1.00pm             County Hall, Millennium Centre, Dundalk

The “Planning Clinics” will offer the general public an opportunity to drop in and discuss the Draft Plan and any associated queries they may have with a member of staff from the Planning Department.

A copy of the Draft Plan, Strategic Environmental Report, Natura Impact Report and accompanying documents  are available for public inspection during normal opening hours 9.00am – 5.00pm (excluding any bank holidays and public holidays) from Monday 6th October 2014 to Wednesday 17th December 2014 inclusive at the following locations.

Making a Submission

Written submissions or observations with respect to the Draft Plan, Environmental Report, Natura Impact Report, and associated documents mentioned above, may be made to the Planning Authority from Monday 6th October 2014 to Wednesday 17th December 2014 inclusive, and such submissions and observations must state the name and address of the person or relevant body or agency making it and should be clearly marked Draft Louth County Development Plan and addressed to Louth County Council, Forward Planning Department , Town Hall, Crowe Street, Dundalk, Co Louth.

Submissions should be clearly marked “Draft Louth County Development Plan”. Please note that late submissions cannot be accepted. All such submissions lodged within the above period will be taken into consideration prior to the making of the Louth County Development Plan 2015-2021.

When making a submission please note the following:

·         Submissions should be made in one format only i.e. letter or e-mail.

·         Submissions/Observations may be made available to the public.

·         Louth County Council is subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Acts 1997 and 2003. If you consider that any of the information supplied by you is either commercially sensitive or confidential in nature, this should be highlighted and the reasons for its sensitivity specified. In such cases , the relevant material will, in response to FOI requests, be examined in light of exemptions provided for in the FOI Act.

·         Louth County Council is subject to the provisions of the Data Protection Acts 1998 and 2003. In order to assist us with complying with Data Protection Act please include your name and contact details on a separate sheet to the content of your submission/observation.
