Louth Economic Forum Launch Tourism and Heritage Action Plan 2016-2021

Louth Economic Forum to develop world-class sustainable tourism experience

Strengthening cross-border co-operation key to tourism success

The Louth Economic Forum aims to position Louth as a leading sustainable tourism destination by harnessing the potential offered by its unique location within Ireland’s Ancient East, as the hub for the Boyne Valley and the Cooley, Mourne and Gullion Regions.

The Forum, a collaboration of State development agencies and members of the local business community, will announce details of the Louth Tourism and Heritage Action Plan today (08.03.17) at an event in Carlingford Heritage Centre.

This is the second such plan developed by Louth Economic Forum and it details its strategy to maximise Louth’s tourism potential to 2021, through three key themes:

1) Sharing our Heritage;

2) Exploring our Mountains, Fields and Sea;

3) Enjoying Our Arts, Culture, Food and Festivals.
