Road Closures - Market Square & Clanbrassil Street

To facilitate final surfacing along Market Square and Clanbrassil Street / Market Square Junction, Dundalk Town Council advises that there may be lane closures and diversions in place for a three day period at any time from 22^nd June to 27^th June 2012.  It should be noted that works are weather dependent and may be extended beyond this period if required.

 

Diversions as follows:-

Phase 1:-Market Square (South)

Traffic on The Demesne to divert via The Long Walk and Griffith Place to Church Street and then, where required, South on Clanbrassil Street to Crowe Street.  South Bound Traffic on Church Street heading for The Long Walk to divert via Clanbrassil Street, Crowe Street, Francis Street, Park Street and The Demesne, or alternatively via Griffith Place, Long Walk (West to Demesne Road), Park Villas and The Demesne.  Vehicles exiting The Long Walk - follow Northbound traffic diversion to Long Walk (West) or Griffith Place/Church Street.

Phase 2: Clanbrassil St Closure:

North Bound Traffic to divert via The Long Walk, Griffith Place to Church Street.  Southbound HGV’s to divert via Griffith Place to The Long Walk, Market Square to Crowe Street.  Southbound Local Traffic on Clanbrassil St to divert via Bachelors Walk, Chapel Street, Market Street, Defenders Row to Francis Street.

NOTE:Phase 1 and 2 works will NOT be undertaken concurrently.
