Renumbering of Drogheda Borough Council and Dundalk Town Council planning file numbers.

The Local Government Reform Act 2014 (pdf, 1,349kb) became law on signature by the President on 27 January 2014. The Act makes legal provision for the reforms set out in the Government’s Action Programme for Effective Local Government, Putting People First, which was published in October 2012. The main changes in local government structures, including a new system of municipal districts, replacing the 80 town councils, will be brought into effect from 1 June 2014, following the local elections on 23 May. For this reason, it has been necessary to merge the Planning databases of Drogheda Borough Council and Dundalk Town Council into the Louth County Council Planning Database. To facilitate this the file numbering system used for Drogheda Borough Council and Dundalk Town Council had to be altered. There is now a single planning database for County Louth, therefore there is now only one EPlan Application and one GPlan Application.
