August Events:

Summer Stars Reading Programme running throughout July & August. Free registration for all children in all our branches.

Summer Storytime: Wed. August 10th & 24th @ 11.30am.

Movie morning: Every Friday @ 11am.

Vroom Town Storytime: Saturday, August 13th @ 3pm.

Children's Arts & Crafts: Friday, August 19th @ 2.30pm. Booking essential.

Heritage Poetry, Music & Song: Friday, August 26th @ 11am. Celebrating National Heritage Week.

 

September Events

Summer Stars Closing Ceremony: Sat. Sep. 10th @11.30am. All children who took part in this year's summer stars reading programme are invited along to collect their certificate and medal.

Culture Night/Oiche Chultuir: Fri. Sep. 16th @7.30pm. Logainmeach Chondae Lú - 'Placenames of County Louth', a talk with Fiachra Mac Gabhann. The event will also feature some of the best in local traditional music. Refreshments will be served. The event is free but booking is required. Please contact the issue desk for more details.

Family History Day: Sat. Sep. 17th, 10am-4pm. Join experts from Eneclann and Find My Past in helping you trace your ancestors, to mark the centenary of the Easter Rising.

'Dorothy Macardle, Suffragette, Socialist, Playwright, Journalist, Humanitarian... A Brewer's Daughter from Roden Place': A talk by Constance Short as part of the Louth 2016 commemorations. Thursday, Sep. 29th at 6.30pm. The event is free but booking is required. Please contact the issue desk for more details.

English Language Classes for Employment and Self-Employment for non-English speakers: Next 10 week course begins Tues. Sep. 6th 2016 at 6pm.

Irish Language Group: Resuming January 4th 2016. Intermediate level - Every Tuesday at 4pm. Beginners - Every Wednesday at 4pm.

Georgie Porgie Tots Corner, Parent & Toddler Group: Every Thursday @ 10am.

Europe Direct Centre – Dundalk Library is a Europe Direct Centre and provides information on issues related to the European Union including EU Publications and general queries about the role of the EU. Adult Book Clubs – Rediscover the joy of reading and discuss your views with others. Please ask at desk for details

WiFi Access is available to current Library members. Renew your Library membership today and avail of free WiFi in Dundalk, Drogheda and Ardee Libraries as well as several hot spots in Dundalk Town Centre. Ask at issue desk for registration details and PIN no.
