Ardee Branch Library Closure

Ardee Library will remain closed until early January 2017 due to electrical upgrade and renovation works.

To facilitate library members the mobile library service will continue to stop at the Fairgreen, Ardee every Friday afternoon from 2pm-4pm.

The Mobile Library also has stops in the following Ardee area:

December Events

Christmas Stocking Colouring Competition: Ongoing throughout December, decorate a Christmas stocking picture to be hung up in the library for a chance to win a fantastic prize.

Christmas Gingerbread Workshop for Children: Saturday Dec. 3rd at 2.30pm.

Christmas Table Quiz: Tuesday Dec. 6th at 2.30pm. Free table quiz for teams of 3-4 persons. Tea, coffee & biscuits will be served and there are prizes to be won.

Christmas Arts & Crafts for Under 8s: Saturday Dec. 10th at 11.30am.

Women of the 1916 Rising: An exhibition by the Office of Public Works which will be in the library from Saturday Dec. 10th until Saturday Dec. 17th.

Women's Involvement in the Rising, War of Independence and Civil War: a lecture as part of the Mná 1916:Women 1916 exhibition on Thursday Dec. 15th at 11.00am.

Christmas Play: performed by the Polish School on Saturday Dec. 17th at 12noon.

Christmas Storytelling & Colouring: Saturday Dec. 17th at 3.00pm. All are welcome to a Christmas themed storytelling session with plenty of children's colouring activities.

January Events

Arts & Crafts Workshop with Amy: Wednesday Jan. 4th at 11.30am. For Ages 8 & Under. Limited places available.

Ongoing Events at Dundalk Branch Library

English Language Classes for Employment and Self-Employment for non-English speakers: Next 10 week course begins Tues. Sep. 6th 2016 at 6pm.

Irish Language Group: Resuming January 4th 2016. Intermediate level - Every Tuesday at 4pm. Beginners - Every Wednesday at 4pm.

German Conversation Group: Starting Friday Oct. 21st at 3.30pm, suitable for all levels. Everyone is welcome. Please leave your name at the issue desk.

Georgie Porgie Tots Corner, Parent & Toddler Group: Every Thursday @ 10am.

Europe Direct Centre – Dundalk Library is a Europe Direct Centre and provides information on issues related to the European Union including EU Publications and general queries about the role of the EU. Adult Book Clubs – Rediscover the joy of reading and discuss your views with others. Please ask at desk for details

WiFi Access is available to current Library members. Renew your Library membership today and avail of free WiFi in Dundalk, Drogheda and Ardee Libraries as well as several hot spots in Dundalk Town Centre. Ask at issue desk for registration details and PIN no.
