Summer Reading Adventure Closing Ceremony: Sat. Sep. 5th @ 11.30am. Come along to receive your medal and certificate.
Culture Night, Oíche Chultúrthath: Fri. Sep. 18th @ 6.30pm: A bilingual Culture Night event promising the best in traditional music and song as brilliant fiddle playng contrasts with the evocative stillness of the early Irish harp. Interspersed with songs from the rich Oriel tradition. Local singer and author, Pádraigín Ní Uallacháin will be joined by two of Oriel’s finest musicians - fiddle player Niall Murphy and wire strung harpist Sylvia Crawford. This is a free event but numbers are limited so please leave name at issue desk. Funded by Oireachtas na Gaeilge, Foras na Gaeilge and the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
