Rental Accomodation Scheme - RAS

The Rental Accommodation Scheme is an initiative introduced to cater for the accommodation needs of people who are in receipt of Rent Supplement for more than 18 months and who have a long-term housing need (excluding students or asylum seekers or non-nationals who do not have leave to remain in the state permanently). The scheme is being administered by Local Authorities and is intended to provide an additional source of good quality rented accommodation for eligible persons to enhance the response of local authorities to meet long-term housing need. In Louth the scheme is being administered by Louth County Council on behalf of all 3 authorities in Louth.
