Higher Education Grants 2011/2012 Academic Year

New Applications Academic Year 2011/2012

The Higher Education Grant Scheme and application forms for students planning to attend college for September, 2011 will not be available until June/July, 2011.  However if you do intend to apply for a grant there are some steps you could be taking at present to prepare for your application.  We would advise that you check www.studentfinance.ie website to determine first of all which awarding authority you should be applying to e.g Louth County Council or County Louth VEC and secondly to ascertain the documentation you need to submit with your application.  Now is the time to start gathering the documentation  e.g income details, birth certificate etc., which are required to be submitted with your application form, as it can take several weeks for some of the documentation to come through which may result in a delay in submitting your application.

Please read the Guide to applying for a Higher Education Grant 11/12 below as to what you can do now.

It should be noted that applications cannot be processed without all the required documentation.

When the Higher Education Scheme 2011/2012 is received from the Department of Education and Skills details of the scheme will be uploaded on to this website
