Ireland's leading Fire Conference and Fire Technology Exhibition is being held this year in Co. Louth. The theme of the Conference is:
The conference will focus on the changing role of the Fire and Rescue Service in the current environment. The Fire and Rescue Service responds to the needs of society in terms of the service provided and the way it is organised and there are various of models of service delivery and services provided here and in other countries. This Conference will be an opportunity to hear presentations from Fire Service personnel here and from other countries where changes in fire service structures and services delivered have occurred.
The Conference will include speakers from Holland, Finland, Luxembourg, where the structure of the fire service and the services provided are different than here. Presentations from UK speakers will focus on the current national fire service agenda and fire prevention and health and safety issues. Irish speakers will cover current developments in the Fire and Rescue and Building Control services and there will also be a Specialist Fire Protection presentation.
