The Louth Community and Voluntary Forum is the voice of the community. The roles of the forum include representation, consultation, capacity building and training. 

The vision of the Louth County Community and Voluntary Forum is to “support and develop a vibrant community and voluntary sector, actively promoting social inclusion and to represent the sector in decision-making structures in the County.”

The forum consists of 27 representatives who are drawn from the 9 thematic fora (3 representatives from each thematic fora). Groups with the Community and Voluntary Network are based around the following nine themes:-

  • Disability
  • Environmental and Tidy Towns
  • Heritage and Community Arts
  • Intercultural
  • Older People
  • RAPID/CLAR areas
  • Rural and Urban Residents Associations
  • Social Economy and Community Enterprise
  • Youth Work
